that moment, when you realise this emptiness in you is because your love sick… for love himself…
..and yet, your puny little mind cannot comprehend his gift of forgiveness and grace…
“you are holy and pure - my beautiful and beloved daughter”

gee ive missed you. can we spend some time…
The last few days, I’ve done a lot of studying on this topic of favor.
I’ve searched scripture. I’ve looked into the original Hebrew and Greek definitions. I’ve researched the cultural implications behind favor, tried to understand what the Israelites considered favor and tried to find out how you gain favor.
What I’ve learned has drastically changed my thoughts on favor.
Before coming into 2012, my thoughts on walking in God’s favor were immature. Just like your typical “prosperity gospel” preacher, I thought having God’s favor meant that you just stood around as God gave you what you wanted. Want that new car? God’s favor will get it for you. Want a relationship? God’s favor will bring that right person into your life. Want an open door to do ministry? God’s favor will connect you with the right people. Want to plant a church, start a new business, or open your own non-profit? God’s favor will clear away the obstacles, pour out more finances than you know what to do with and make you successful beyond your wildest dreams.
God’s favor was just a way to get what I wanted without having to work for it. Everything I’ve prayed for, everything I desired, everything I wanted to see happen in my life would come about because of favor.
I couldn’t have been more wrong.

These little graphics and sayings must seem fatuous to some of you at times, but I can personally testify that this works — not only to calm yourself enough to get some sleep, but to deepen your relationship with Jesus.
When you don’t know what to do, and don’t have anything to do, make prayer your first resort. It will become your habit of mind, and you will be a stronger, better, more confident person because of it.
Ooh, love this!!!
When is your favorite time to run? During the day? Early Morning? Late at night? Other times?
louisianapeach asked: Hey, Unka Glen! I’m a junior in high school, and I’ve made up my mind not to date until college. I plan on attending school in another state, so, to me, it just makes sense not to date anyone while I’m still here. Anyways, I was wondering how I can keep myself on the…
A few years ago, the Lord made it clear to me that I needed to grab my self-image and self-esteem issues by the scruff of the neck, take them for a walk in the woods, and come back without them. It sounded like a good idea, and a necessary idea, but I didn’t even know where to start! Because, how do you change the way you see yourself?!
The first step, I discovered, was that, before anything, I had to acknowledge both to me and to God that I just might not have the most clear and accurate view of myself. Once I started to admit that I might not, I began to realize that I absolutely did not. And I had to ‘fess up that I needed some serious help believing something new, something other than what I’d always thought.
